Function and application

The Rotowell is a fixed calliper disc brake designed for use at the low speed shaft (LSS). Manufactured on an organic basis, the friction linings present the maximum comfort with metal free abrasion. Actuated directly by hydraulic pressure, the Rotowell operates quickly and reliably. The patented wear compensation system "CRT" ensures that the activation time is unvaryingly short at all times. When the integrated sensor indicates that the wear threshold has been reached, the friction linings can be replaced quickly and easily. Short plant downtimes are therefore ensured.
